Care that comes to you: the mobile clinic

Health care on the homelands means meeting people where they are. Urapuntja is bringing a purpose-built mobile clinic to Country: clinical care on wheels that travels out to community, rather than asking community to travel to the clinic.

We secured the mobile clinic through a grant we actively pursued, with support from Aboriginal Investment NT, and it is being built by Mobile Health Clinics Australia. It will be a vital part of the outreach that reaches all sixteen homelands.

Health promotion & preventative health

The best health care keeps people well in the first place. Our health promotion work runs through everything we do: nutrition, smoke-free messages, sport, school programs and community events.

Good food, strong culture, active kids. That's health care too.
